Lineartronic
This is the world's first continuously variable transmission, the Lineartronic CVT, with a chain drive instead of a metal belt, developed for use in all-wheel drive cars. The system, equipped with a torque converter, constantly keeps the engine at an optimal speed, ensuring efficient combustion with very low fuel consumption. It is capable of providing smooth acceleration and can also operate in manual mode with 6 or 7 gears*, via paddles on the steering wheel, which allow extremely fast changes and immediate response. This takes the overall concept of the Lineartronic CVT continuously variable transmission to new levels, allowing the driver the pleasure of sporty gear changes, but at the same time the exceptional driving comfort typical of an automatic transmission.

The vehicle dynamics control system adjusts the distribution of AWD torque, engine power and brakes to each wheel to keep the car on the right track. With Active Torque Vectoring, the brakes are activated and less torque is distributed to the inside wheels and more to the outside wheels, for better handling and to allow the driver to make sudden maneuvers if necessary.
When the car comes to a complete stop, Auto Vehicle Hold keeps it in the same position even when the brake pedal is released, thus reducing driver fatigue when driving in traffic.
The low center of gravity, SGP and Symmetrical AWD, improved suspension and increased torsional rigidity result in a car that responds perfectly to driver commands, especially when performing evasive maneuvers to avoid hazards and accidents.

EyeSight *1 , Subaru's advanced driver assistance system, works like a second pair of eyes on the road, using two stereo cameras to capture color images with excellent visual recognition performance almost as good as the human eye. When it detects potential hazards such as vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians *3 , it warns the driver and applies the brakes and steering if necessary, enabling even safer and more relaxed driving.
When turning, the direction of the light beam emitted by the headlights changes depending on the movement of the steering wheel, for greater visibility when cornering, especially at night.
The SRVD system, through sensors mounted on the rear corners of the vehicle, warns the driver of vehicles approaching from behind to avoid risks when changing lanes. It also warns you of potential accident hazards when reversing on roads with cross traffic.
High beam assist improves visibility and therefore safety when driving at night by automatically switching the high beam headlights on and off depending on the traffic situation and driving conditions.
Four sensors on the rear bumper detect obstacles behind the vehicle when reversing. If detected, the system can alert the driver with audible warnings and automatically apply the brakes to avoid a collision or reduce the damage caused by a collision.
When it detects an imminent collision with a vehicle or other obstacle in front of the car, the Pre-Collision Braking System warns the driver with a buzzer and a warning light on the dashboard. If the driver does not react to avoid the collision, the system automatically brakes to limit the impact or, if possible, prevent the collision altogether. If the driver attempts an evasive maneuver, the Pre-Collision Braking Assist can help prevent a collision.
It can help reduce dangerous lane departures when it detects vehicles in an adjacent lane or approaching vehicles *3 by activating a warning chime and flashing indicator while assisting steering operations.
It can help keep the vehicle in its lane by recognizing road markings and assisting the driver by intervening on the steering wheel to avoid unintentional deviations from the road. It can also operate on roads without road markings by recognizing the outer boundaries of the roads, such as grass.

If you shift into forward gear instead of reverse when the car is stationary and the EyeSight system *1 detects an obstacle in front of the vehicle, Pre-Collision Throttle Management sounds several warning sounds, flashes a warning light and reduces power to help avoid a frontal collision.
It can help avoid a collision with a buzzer and flashing indicator and by braking when the system detects a high possibility of a frontal collision in areas with poor visibility, such as intersections or when exiting a parking space.
Driver Monitoring System is a state-of-the-art assistance system that uses a dedicated camera and facial recognition software to monitor driver fatigue or inattention. It recognizes up to five pre-registered drivers to provide personalized driving settings and a comfortable and functional driving experience.
When it detects the presence of a car, Adaptive Cruise Control, which monitors the distance and speed of the car in front, varies the speed to maintain a constant safe distance between the two cars. Designed for use on motorways and expressways, it recognizes the vehicle in front and its brake lights and adapts to changes in heavy motorway traffic to ensure maximum fuel efficiency and comfort on long journeys.
Passive safety is designed to keep passengers safe in the event of an accident, thanks to features such as SRS airbags *2 and a layout that allows the engine to slide under the cabin floor in the event of a collision.
